A Naming Ceremony is one of the loveliest ceremonies to be performed.

It allows you to introduce the newest member of your family to other family members and close friends. It is a day of celebration whereby your child is officially named and godparents or guardians are introduced.

A godparent or guardian is a significant person who will be involved in your child’s life and if required may take on further involvement with your child.

Often families will conduct a naming ceremony for more than one child on the day and this is a beautiful way of showing the dedication that your family as a whole have.

Some of the things which may be included are :-

The Significance of the Name you have chosen,

The assignment of Godparents/Guardians

Readings dedicated to your child

Culturally significant traditions

Blessings for you child

And so much more

allow your imagination to find what it is you want for your child.

This Ceremony is a non religious version of a Christening or Baptism, that is not to say that your child will not have a religious devotion but allows him or her to choose their own religion later in life.

A ceremony can be custom tailored to include not only godparents or guardians but grandparents and other siblings as well, these very special people are often overlooked.

A Civil Naming Ceremony allows you to customise your celebration to include these significant family members.
